Synopsis from Goodreads: What would happen if you were visited by your younger self, and got a chance for a do-over?
Alice Love is twenty-nine years old, madly in love with her husband, and pregnant with their first child. So imagine her surprise when, after a fall, she comes to on the floor of a gym (a gym! she HATES the gym!) and discovers that she's actually thirty-nine, has three children, and is in the midst of an acrimonious divorce.
A knock on the head has misplaced ten years of her life, and Alice isn't sure she likes who she's become. It turns out, though, that forgetting might be the most memorable thing that has ever happened to Alice.
I picked this copy up from my local library, actually I requested they buy it, the reviews I read were that good! I was not disappointed, I really loved this book.
I read some recent reviews that gave the impression that this was a bit of light reading fluff (some references to it being chick-lit).
I would say that I get where those references were coming from because the book was a quick, fun read and a love story in the end. However, I think this book has a lot more substance to it and I want to get that across. The book made me think, how have I changed in ten years? What regrets do I have and what would I like to do over again given the chance? I may feel that I am the same person I was ten years ago but am I really? This book dives right into these questions and I have never really read another book quite like it. Yes, the book is more 'light-hearted and good endings' but that did not diminish what I found was a wonderful premise, a deceptively deep one at that. It will make you think. The fact that it was a fun read and I really loved the characters was a wonderful bonus. I have no problem rating this book 9 out of 10 stars. This is one I will remember for years.

It was deceptively light, wasn't it? I still think about this book weeks after reading it. For that reason, it will be on my 2011 Favorite books list. I want to read more of the author's novels. Glad you enjoyed it too.
