I use the psuedonym Icedream (long story) and Wow, I've had this book blog since September of 2007! Well, I actually haven't posted very much this year- I have to admit that while I love to read, I hate to write. So going into my forth year I am a little tired. But I still love book blogs and I don't want to just give up the blog because I still like to feel as though I am still a part of the book blogging community.
How else to introduce myself to new visitors?
Well three book related facts about me:
1. I love to read just about any genre. I've even been known to read the back of the shampoo bottle if I have nothing else.
2. I don't really have to worry about having nothing else, I have a book collection at home that I estimate around 500 books that I haven't read yet. I have more books that I have read but not many. I donate and trade.
3. I still hate the idea of e-readers but I have come to the conclusion that I want one. There are now books only available in e-format. I just need to find the perfect one (I want color and I want to be able to read Amazon books as well as all other formats).
Since I haven't blogged a review in a long time, three books I've read recently that I really enjoyed:
How am I armchairing it? Hunched over my computer. I so need a laptop, or at least a more comfortable computer chair.
Well I am really late getting this posted but I hope you come back.
I am going to host what I think is a great giveaway this week! Thanks for visiting!

i've been known to read packaging labels of all types myself. it'll do when nothing else is around, right?
ReplyDeleteas for e-readers, you might want to sit tight to see what happens with amazon. they might be opening up their readers and/or store to multiple formats in the very near future (or so i hear).
enjoy your Armchair BEA week!
great post. I love that picture ! so glad you are doing Armchair BEA :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Georgia Bottoms too, and loved Lauren Oliver's first novel. I'm waiting on Delirium from the library...
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the e-readers, except that I'm never planning to get one. Can't stand the things. My husband does have a Kindle, so if I get REALLY desperate, I can always use his.
ReplyDeleteGlad to have found you via Armchair BEA!
Hi there! Late stopping by, but wanted to say hi. I was adamantly against e-readers at first, but I won a Sony Reader a couple of years ago and so I do read on it occasionally. I still prefer real books, but, like you said, some books are only available in e format.
ReplyDeleteI have Remarkable Creatures in my home library and I really want to read it. Oh, and I have 3000+ books in my home library...the majority unread so don't feel bad about your 500!
