Book Description from aNobii:
"Readers captivated by Twilight and New Moon will eagerly devour Eclipse, the much anticipated third book in Stephenie Meyer's riveting vampire love saga. As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob --- knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. But which is which?"
This is the third book in the Twilight series and while I really enjoyed the first two, Eclipse was a bit of a let down in comparison. I didn't hate it but I found it really was dragging almost 3/4's of the way through the book. I just couldn't care about all the minutia of Edward and Bella's life plans. It wasn't until the action at the end that I was able to speed read through it. I want to finish the series by reading Breaking Dawn but I just don't feel Eclipse really contributed anything to the series (except for the parts about Billy). I haven't read Breaking Dawn but I wonder if I could have just skipped Eclipse completely and would still be able to follow the conclusion. I guess I will find out but in the mean time I can only give this book 3 stars.

It had its moments, but for the most part I wasn't crazy about this one either. I found it lacking in tension, and the love triangle just didn't fly for me.
memory- you stated it so much better than I did but I am glad I wasn't the only person to feel this way! LOL
I didn't really like Breaking Dawn too much. It was much more of an adult novel while the rest of these (even this one) are still YA. It was still good but I was upset when I finished it.
BREAKING DAWN will make this one look good...lol!
I did devour this book completely. I found it much more exciting than New Moon, which was quite a bore for me. Hmm, this book was an easy read for me...I didn't find any part dragging. I enjoyed reading Rosalie's, Jasper's and the werewolves stories. They added a little something to the book.
Here's my review of it. :)
