I've decided to participate in
Sheri from A Novel Menagerie weekly meme Thursday's Thoughts. I have been reading other bloggers posts and it has been really fun. This weeks Thursday’s Thoughts question is:
"Tell us whether not reading has affected your dreams. Do you see the characters of the stories in your dreams? Or, is it rather a part of the story-line that integrates itself into your dreams? Do you remember your dreams? Do you dream vividly, or not that you can remember at all? What do your dreams represent to you?"
I don't remember if any book I have read has entered my dreams. It's quite possible because although I occasionally have vivid dreams, I tend to forget most of them very quickly. I used to keep a dream journal for a little while but finally gave it up. I do remember in the past, sleeping with the radio on and having a song integrate into my dreams. I don't know if I would want to dream about some of the books I read. I would probably have to stop reading horror novels and some thrillers if that happened.
I think most of my dreams that I have can usually be analyzed as my subconscious working out day to day thoughts or worries. Occasionally I have had dreams that have made absolutely no sense what so ever. Sometimes it is the very odd ones that are the most vivid, or perhaps because they were so odd they are just the ones that are easiest for me to remember for awhile.

I kept a dream journal at one point too but it somehow worked its way under the bed and never came back out. The only nightmares I seem to have are inspired by movies, not books. I'm participating in this as well!
Hey, thanks for visiting my place, and wow, what fun blog and a beautiful header! On the dreams thing, well I have definitely had books enter my dreams, but in sort of a haunting, churning way that prevents good sleep. If a book is too exciting, I have to relegate it to daytime reading.
Oh, hey, since you're coming over from the more literary side of things, on the paranormal front I'd highly suggest Bitten by Kelley Armstrong, and the Charlaine Harris Southern Vampire series. Also, Meljean Brook's Demon Angel - very complex, engaging read.
Ladytink- movies can get me too! Any particular ones you remember?
Carolyn Jean- Thanks for the recommendations, I will definately check them out. (I have read Harris but I really want to get to read her Sookie Stackhouse? series)
