I don't know who came up with this list but I love their taste in reading! (Not just because I have read so many on the list :-D ) I actually have The Fountainhead and Love in the Time of Cholera on my list to be read this year. I discovered early on that I was not a fan of the Jane Austen or the Bronte sister's, and also I thought The English Patient was a lovely book in the end but to much work to get through so I really don't think I will be reading In the Skin of a Lion. As far as The World According to Garp, I know I owned the book but just can't remember reading it but I know I saw the movie, which usually throws me off a book. I prefer to read first, watch second.
There are so,so many great books on this list! I think it may be the best list of 100 books to read that I have ever spotted. If you discover that you have quite a few italicized my advice would be go for it! I doubt there are many other books out there that could be considered as much time well spent.
